Comparison
SecureFamilyVault vs. Trust & Will
Trust & Will is the polished online-document specialist — beautiful flow, per-document pricing, attorney-reviewed templates. We're a different shape: a vault that organizes the rest of your estate, with a will template included for free.
TL;DR
Trust & Will is a document factory. You walk through a guided flow, answer questions, and emerge with a polished will, trust, or guardianship document — each priced separately. Documents live in their portal; you can download PDFs.
SecureFamilyVault is a vault that happens to include a will template. We're not trying to compete with their document polish — we're trying to be the place you keep everything else (assets, beneficiaries, family records, advisor connections, the documents you generated elsewhere). Free, encrypted on your device.
Choose us if
You want a free vault with a will template included, plus structured records of your assets and family. You can use both — generate documents with T&W, store them encrypted in our vault.
Choose them if
You want the most polished online estate-document creation experience, with attorney-reviewed templates and you don't mind paying per document. Their UX is genuinely best-in-class for that specific job.

Honest gaps
Where Trust & Will is genuinely better.
- Document polish. Their will, trust, and POA documents are attorney-reviewed and look ready for a notary. Our will template is solid for the price (free) but requires more "consult an attorney before relying on this" caution.
- Trust generator. They have a real revocable living trust generator. We don't ship one yet.
- Power of attorney + healthcare proxy. They generate these. We have a letter-of-instruction equivalent for some of this content but not legal POA forms.
- Attorney support. Add-on access to a real estate attorney for questions. We don't offer that.
This is a "use both" comparison more than the others. Generate your serious legal documents with Trust & Will, store them and the rest of your estate records in SFV.
Free vault. Use it alongside theirs.
